Ship of the desert

The Hunt for Red October...
звероловство на красный октябрь...

Там оно, на дороге Al Ain как подводный корабль пустыни
There it is, on the Al Ain road, like an undersea ship of the desert.

And inside, it feels like the belly of a whale. A dirty, dusty, nothing is finished, nothing works, and the floors are too shiny so you fall on your a$$ and no one in their right minds would try to run a university in it kind of whale.

(Sorry for anon --I'm gagged)

to be fair, it's comig along... as more stuff is finished, though the shiny floors still make you want to skate rather than walk! Closer to a submarine design, that is the obvious part (called the atrium); but much of the rest of the design is mediocre or less.

It might have been nice to get the place finished and working before opening it to students. It's equivalent to opening a new road before installing the signs, road markings and safety fences.

Hey, but what would I know? I only work in the construction industry.
